Denmark, a set with four stamps 'Viking ship museum in Roskilde'.
The topic on the 4.50 value is a 'sea trial', the 5.50 value shows the 'reconstruction', the 6.50 value the 'exhibition' and the 12.50 value the 'excavation'.

QM2
Grenada, a souvenir sheet with four stamps 'Famous Ocean Liners of the World" and a souvenir sheet with one stamp 'Queen Mary 2'. Left from top there are the 'Queen Mary 2', the 'Queen Elizabeth 2', the first 'Queen Mary' and the first 'Queen Elizabeth'. Above the 'Queen Mary 2' once more in a side view.
The French post authority has issued a stationery about the 'QM2' with the French QM2 stamp.


Bounty
Pitcairn Islands, a set with four stamps and a souvenir sheet with one stamp about the 'Bounty'.
On these stamps it should be the replica of the old Bounty, the HMAV 'Bounty' with her homeport at Sydney. On the souvenir sheet ist the same topic as on the $3.50 value, right. HMAV means 'Her/His Majesty Australian Vessel'.

Tarangini
India, a single stamp and a souvenir sheet with one stamp with the same topic show the barque INS 'Taragini'; 'Circumnavigation Voyage 23.1.2003 - 25.4.2004 with the theme Friendship across the Oceans'. INS means 'Indian Naval Ship'.

Argentina
Argentina, a se-tenant of four stamps 'Naval Transports'. Left top the ARA 'Villarino', beside the ARA 'Pampa' and bottom the ARA 'Bahia Thetis' and the ARA 'Cabo de Hornos'. ARA means 'Armada de la Republica Argentina', Argentina Navy.


Føroyar Mystic
Føroyar, Faeroe Islands, a souvenir sheet with 10 stamps 'Janus Djurhuus, Yrkingar'. Each of the ten stamps has a topic of a story or a poem of the poet J.H.O. Djurhuus. Italy, a set with four stamps about provinces on old maps. Here the maritime topic with some ships off the Liguria coast (at Genua).

Isle of Man, two se-tenant with together 10 stamps 'The Story of Mann, Manx National Heritage'. On this two maritime stamps we see left 'Celtic Islanders and Viking Invadors' and beside 'Ships and the Sea'.

Oseberg ship
Norway, a set with three stamps 'Oseberg Utgravingen 100 Ar', Oseberg excavation centenary. 100 years before a viking ship with a length of 72 ft was dug up at Oseberg. On this stamp we see the bow, some barrels and a drawing of the ship in the background. On both other stamps there are different excavation objects depicted.


Bulgaria
Bulgaria, a set with four stamps with navy ships, it is a 125th anniversary of the navy ore another event (?). From left we see the paddle-steamer 'Krum', the torpedo-boat 'Druski', the minesweeper 'Christo Botev' and the frigate 'Smeli'.


St. Lucia, a set with four stamps 'Tourism', among this stamp 'Sailing'.

Estonia, a single stamp 'European championship in the Dragon class (Draakon), Tallinn, 29th August till 4th September, 2004'.


Latvia, a set with two stamps 'Europe Tourism'. One maritime stamp with this sailing boat in the sunset.

Bulgaria
Tanzania, a set with four stamps and a souvenir sheet with one stamp 'Dhow Events in Zanzibar'. The inscriptions from left: 'cheer of peddle winners', then 'Dhow race', then a 'punting race' and a 'sail boat race'. On the souvenir sheet a single dhow is depicted.

Finland, a booklet with five stamps 'Finnish Gulf, treasures of ship wrecks'. Among them this figurehead of a frigate named 'St. Nikolai', sunk in 1790. On the other stamps there are a can, a clock, a seal and a gunpowder tin.


Russia, a souvenir sheet with one stamp, '100th Anniversary of the Heroic Defense of Port-Artur, China'. This happened during the Russian-Japanese war 1904-05 with the dramatic battle at Tsushima. In the medal a small battleship is depicted.

D-Day and no end! Nevis, a souvenir sheet with six stamps and a souvenir sheet with one stamp about the 'D-Day'. For a better view only the stamps without the decorative around are depicted. From left top we see the HMCS 'Penetang', then 'Landing Craft Infantry Large (LCIL)', 'Landing Craft Tank 6 (LCT)', 'Landing Craft Tank Rocket', 'Landing Barge Kitchen (LBK)' and 'Battleship Texas'. Left HMS 'Scorpion' is depicted.


d-day
D-Day and no end! Micronesia, a souvenir sheet with six stamps and a souvenir sheet with one stamp about the 'D-Day'. For a better view only the stamps without the decorative around are depicted. From left top we see the 'Landing craft vehicle, Personnel', 'Destryoer Thompson', 'Landing Ship Tank 391 (LST)', 'Rhino Ferry 2 and Rhino Tug 3', HMS 'Mauritius' and battleship 'Arkansas'. On the small souvenir sheet a 'Landing Craft Infantry' is depicted.

Sierra Leone and Antigua & Barbuda have issued also souvenir sheets about the D-Day. Maritime Topics on Stamps will show them next month.


Maldives, a souvenir sheet with one stamp 'Jules Verne, Visions and Adventures'. The pictures belong to the book 'The Lighthouse at the End of the World', 1905, in which Jules Verne explores piracy of the open seas.

Peru, a se-tenant of two stamps 'Faros del Peru', Peruvian lighthouses. One see left the tower of Punta Capones and right the fire of Islas Chincha.
