Solomon Islands, a set with four stamps, small and large cruise liners. Left the 'Bilikiki', build in 1989,
a dive boat with deluxe cabins. Beside another dive boat, the 'Spirit of Solomons', build in 1992.
You can sail on both ships for a price of 296 through 445 Dollars per person per night.

Right inside the 'Oceana' is depicted, 2000 build in Italy, a cruise liner for 2.272 passengers. Beside the 'QE 2',
comissioning 1969, passenger ship, troop transport ship during the Falkland war, then again cruise liner.
The ship was multiple rebuild, the engines were replaced.

Saint Pierre et Miquelon, a se-tenant of two stamps with a gutter 'Le Port de Saint Pierre vers 1928', the port of
Saint Pierre in 1928.

Grenada, a souvenir sheet with four stamps, 'Famous Ocean Liners of the World'.
Depicted are from top: the 'Titanic', the 'Normandie', the 'Mauritania' and the 'Lusitania'.
Notice: Some countries write 'Mauritania' instead of 'Mauretania'.

Venezuela, a souvenir sheet with ten stamps for an anniversary of the INEA, Instituto Nacional de los Espacios
Acuaticos e Insulares, National Institute of Aquatic Areas. Here we see a tug and some local authority boats. On the
other stamps there are people, part of ships and work devices.

Greenland, a set with four stamps ''Navigation in Greenland III'.
Left the brig 'Constance', 1857 built in Flensburg, 46 years busy for the Greenland Trade Department (217 GT).
Right the 'Disko', a passenger ship of 1927, also in duty for the Greenland Trade Department (1.496 GT).

Right a general cargo freighter with passenger accomodations, the 'Julius Thomsen', build 1927 in Frederikshavn
for the Greenland service (1.156 GT). Beside the 'Misigssut', a hospital ship, build 1955 in Svendborg (232 GT).
This ship was used against the widespread tuberculosis in Greenland.

China, a souvenir sheet with nine stamps with a large, old painting of a village at a river.
Here we see the three stamps from the middle of the sheet with bridge and river boats, some of them were towed.

Morocco, a single stamp, '30. Congres International d'Histoire Militaire, Rabat, 2004'. A local craft with three lateen sails
is depicted.

Morocco, a single stamp, '1304 - 2004 Ibn Battutah'. Ibn Battutah was born 1304 in Tanger. 22 years old he started
far voyages throug the known world in those days. During 29 years he visited all countries from the Mediterranean to China,
from East Africa to Russia. Moroccan sources say a distance of 116,800 km of all his voyages and they compare him
with Marco Polo. His travel stories are known under the name 'Rihla'.

Ukraina, a se-tenant of four stamps with four bridges. On this only stamp with a ship we see a tug towing a man of war
through a lift-bridge.

Grenada Carriacou & Petite Martinique, a set with three stamps '40th Anniversary Carriacou Regata Festival'.
Left there are the racing boats, right the model builder with their boats. On the third stamp there are many mules depicted.

Isle of Man, a set of six stamps, 'Alfred Heaton Cooper'. Here we see his paintings 'Point of Ayre' and
'Peel Harbour and Castle'.

Malaysia, a set with five stamps and a souvenir sheet with one stamp 'Major Ports of Malaysia'.
Left top Johor Port and beside Kota Kinabalu Port. The container bridges on the souvenir sheet are in Northport.
The ship on the sheet is the 'OOCL Shenzhen', the ship in the stamp is the 'OOCL Long Beach'.
Below Kuantan Port, Penang Port and Bintulu Port. The ship name in Penang Port is 'Ever Apex'.

Latvija, Latvia, a single stamp with the lighthouse 'Mikelbaka'.
|

France, a souvenir sheet with ten stamps 'Portraits de Regions'. Among them this lighthouse 'Cap Ferret'.

Sierra Leone, a souvenir sheet with eight stamps "D-Day the Greatest Invasion". Among them two maritime stamps,
left 'LCM landing craft', right 'US Light Cruiser'.

Antigua & Barbuda, a souvenir sheet with four stamps, "D-Day, we remember them' and
a souvenir sheet with one stamp, 'D-Day, the Mulberry Harbours'. Left a stamp of the first sheet 'beachhead established'
and right the stamp 'Mulberry Harbour'.

Grenada Carriacou et Petite Martinique, a souvenir sheet with one stamp 'D-Day, Focus on Operation Neptun'.
On the stamp we see 'Assault landing craft head for invasion beaches'.
