Only few new stamps arrived Germany this month.
|
|
Pitcairn Islands, a set with four stamps, Christmas. Among them this Christmas ball, reflecting the "Bounty".
|
Terres Australes & Antarctiques Francaises (TAAF), a single stamp with the patrol boat "Osiris".
|
|
|
Tokelau, a set with four stamps about HMNZS "Te Kaha".
|
HMNZS means Her/His Majesty New Zealand Ship.
|
|
|
Spain, a souvenir sheet with six stamps "Para Los Jovenes", for the youth. Among the left stamp with a kayak.
Macedonia, a single stamp, wild-water canoeing, depicted right.

|
Netherlands, two souvenir sheet with each five stamps, "Mooi Nederland", beautiful Netherlands.
Among them this stamp with a sailing dinghy.

Liberia, a souvenir sheet with one stamp, "Animals of the Bible". Beside an ancient craft we see the story about Jonah
and the whale.

Mauritania, a set with four stamps, "views". Among them the left stamp with a local craft.
Madagascar, a single stamp right, "Celebrate Rotary 100 Years". Within the island outline
also a local craft.

Jersey, a souvenir sheet with one stamp, "Victoria Cross 150th Anniversary". The depicted ships are
HMS "Hecla", left and HMS "Arrogant".
The Victoria Cross (VC) is the highest recognition for valour "in the face of the enemy" that can be awarded
to members of the British and Commonwealth armed forces of any rank in any service, and civilians under
military command. It is also the highest award in the British Honours system.

Jersey, a souvenir sheet with one stamp "Bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar". On the sheet we see Lord
Nelson with his "Victory" and the text: "England expects that every man will do his duty".

Cayman, a set with six stamps and a souvenir sheet with two stamps about the Battle at Trafalgar from 2005,
but up till now not shown on our web page.
Left top HMS "Victory", in the middle "HMS Tonnant tangles in the bow of the Algesiras".
Right "HMS Orion in action against the Intrepide". In the middle left Lord Nelson.

Left "Flint Cannon Lock and Linstock", beside "Boatswain's Mate RN ready to lead a
boarding party". RN for Royal Navy.

The text on the souvenir sheet:
"During the late afternoon of the battle, the dismasted HMS Tonnant was still fighting, despite heavy casualties. She had seen
continous action throughout the battle and is shown here in action against the French 74 gun ship Pluton."

To show some more stamps and/or whole souvenir-sheets the pictures are high
