Austria, a single stamp to the theme 'holiday country Austria' named
'Bodensee - Vorarlberg' with this luxury paddle steamer "Hohentwiel" built by the
Swiss shipyard Escher Wyss & Cie from 1911 to 1913 and restored in the years 1984-90,
950 HP, 16 knots.
Vorarlberg is an Austrian state situated at the large lake Bodensee.

Brasil, a single stamp to the theme '4th Centennial of the State of Ceara'.
The state is sitauted at the Atlantic coast, as we can see by the boats on the beach
and the wide sea.

Caymann Islands, a set with 12 stamps about 1503-2003, Quincentennial of the discovery
of these islands. From left to right we see an old waterfront, the arrival of Columbus
during his 4th voyage in 1503, then the 'Cayman Brac schooner Kirk-B' and the shipping of
thatch rope.

Saint Lucia, a set with four stamps '200 Years of Continous Mail Service'.
On the left stamp we see letters of the years 1803 and 1844.
On the right stamp the steam packet 'Hewanorra', dated 1920. On the two other stamps
there are a post office and stamps of 1860 depicted.

Monaco, a single stamp '28 septembre, Grande Bourse 2003', the great stock-exchange
2003. The boat is named 'Santa Devota' and remembers to the Saint Devote.

Cuba, a souvenir sheet '510 Anniversario De La Llegada Del Habano Al Viejo
Mundo', 510th anniversary of the arrival of the habano (cigar) to the Old
World (Europe). We see an caravel and how Columbus handed over some tobacco
plants to the Spanish queen Isabella.

Rossija - Russia, a souvenir sheet about a tercentenary 'around the navy'.
Sorry, but I can't read the Russian letters. 300 years ago the Russian Czar Peter I.
forced Sweden out of the citadel Nyenschanz, which was situated at the mouth of the
river Neva. Then he ordered the Peter-Paul citadel built. It was the birth of the
city of Petersburg. If anyone knows more, please write an

Japan, a souvenir sheet with 10 stamps, pretended '400 years Tokio', although
the town is older. Since 1603 Tokio, in that days Edo, was the residence of the Shogune
(army commanders). The whole sheet is full of Japanese letters, same on this
double stamp of a paddle steamer:

Central-Africa needs money and so they print six souvenir sheets and six single stamps
to a price of seven Dollars each.
Here only the stamps are depicted. In the first row from left Francis Drake with his
'Golden Hind', then Columbus twice with the 'Santa Maria'.

In the lower row we see J. Cartier with his fleet, H. Nelson with his 'Victory' during the battle
of Trafalgar (one mast!) and the Russian naval architect Wlademir Yourkevitch with
the 'Normandie', constructed by himself.

Canada, a booklet 'Tourist Attractions' with five stamps. Among them a
dragon boat racing at Vancouver and Magdalena Island in the Gulf
of St. Lawrence with this lighthouse.

Great Britain, a set with five stamps 'Poster Art, Pub Signs'.
Among them the beautiful 'Mayflower'. In 1620 the Pilgrim Fathers sailed with
this ship to America.

France, a single stamp with a picture 'La Boule Rouge', the red buoy of the painter
Paul Signac. The French Signac lived from 1863 to 1935 and was a great painter of the
so called New-Impressionism. The meaning You see on the stamp.
