Sverdrup
Fram Norway, two stamps and one souvenir sheet about the polar explorer Otto Sverdrup. From 1898 to 1902 he led an expedition to different Canadian islands with the 'Fram'. The Sverdrup Islands got his name. Canada and Greenland also issued stamps about this voyage, see left.

Jersey, one set with four stamps '...wish you were here'. On the stamp left we see Rozel Harbour and right St. Aubin's Harbour. On the other two stamps there is blurred Corbiere Lighthouse and Mont Orgueil Castle depicted.


Africa Senegal, a set with five stamps 'Le Nepad' (?). Among them this stamp with a chart of Africa with three ships.

Esthonia, a single stamp, '150th anniversary of the rounding of Cape Hoorn of the Esthonian bark 'Hioma'. In the background a chart with the courses of the sailing ship. Cape Hoorn


Espana Spain, a souvenir sheet with four stamps, 'Letters of schoolboys and students in comics'. The four stamps (left) are surrounded by 12 vignettes. There are many sailing boats and lighthouses depicted.


Argentina, a souvenir sheet with two stamps '1904 - 2004, Base Orcadas Antartida Argentina'. We see the station, the crew and the vessel. Argentina


Genoa Italy, a single stamp 'Genova, European culture capital 2004' with lighthouse, dividers and an ancient chart.


Esthonia, a single stamp with the lighthouse Sorge Tuletorn, who is situated in the Bay of Riga. lighthouse

Tobago
Trinidad and Tobago, four stamps and a souvenir sheet with lighthouses. On the stamps with the value of 1.00 and 4.50$ we see the lighthouse of Port of Spain. On the stamps with the value of 3.75 and 5.25$ the lighthouse of Chacachacare.


junk China, Macau, a souvenir sheet with eight hexagon stamps 'I Ching Pa Kua' (?). Among them this junk water-coloured.

Austria
Austria, two stamps '45th anniversary Maritime Topics, SMS Navicula'. Left we see the frigate 'Austria' in 1812 and right the paddle steamer 'Austria' in 1851.
These stamps were created by the Austrian Representative of the maritime working group Navicula, Mr.Pucalka.



I hope, the UK liners will arrive Germany next month.
